Safety Alarm for elderly

We have developed a complete system for personal alarms for the elderly and others. What is unique about it is that it works both indoors and outdoors. The user wears the alarm unit, resembling a bracelet watch, and the alarm works like a traditional indoor personal security alarm. It also works just as well when the user goes outdoors for a walk, now keeping track of the wearer over GPS and GSM. When the alarm is used outdoors, information is continuously sent over a GSM data-link to an alarm centre.

The alarm also works like a cellular phone. When the user presses the alarm-button on the watch it automatically connects to the base-unit as a phone. As the alarm system operates over GPS and GSM, the caregiver can talk to the user as well as monitor its position on a map. With our security alarm, the user can stay at any location without losing the security aspects of the alarm. Our security alarm system can also be adapted to various areas where alarms, detectors or other M2M / IoT – applications are suitable.

The GPS technology is useful in any environment that requires modern navigation, regardless if it’s on land, at sea or in the air. If for example an excavator is equipped with GPS and software that can monitor and map the production of infrastructure is rationalized in many ways. The GPS function can also be used in applications that need accurate time reference.

GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is more or less the only mobile broadband technology that is available worldwide.

GPS and GPRS together are excellent building blocks in applications that require precise positioning, accurate timing or real-time data.
